Putting your Curriculum & Instruction Degree to Work

The Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction at the KU Edwards Campus is designed to produce graduates who possess expertise in contemporary theories, procedures, and research in curriculum and instruction, as well as in educational foundations of curriculum & instruction.

Students who graduate with a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Kansas will prepare to become greater, more effective teachers and teacher leaders. Many students will focus on a specific content area, or continue on in their learning to add-on a licensure endorsement such as the Reading Specialist in Kansas.

This Master’s degree program is also intended to prepare graduate students - like yourself - for doctorate-level degree program admission, should you wish to continue in your advanced studies in curriculum and instruction.

Potential Careers in Curriculum & Instruction
Students who complete the Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction are likely to pursue positions with titles similar to the following:

  • Lead Teacher
  • Instructional Coordinator
  • Curriculum Designer
  • Instructional Coach

Please note this degree program does not lead to initial or advanced licensure.

Begin the application process today and take that next step in your career as an educator.
