This 30-credit-hour program is organized into three sections: required foundation, area of emphasis and electives. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.

Required Foundation (15 credit hours)

STAT 805: Professionalism, Ethics and Leadership in the Statistical Sciences, Summer
STAT 820: Statistical Computing/SAS Base L1, Fall|
STAT 830: Experimental Design, Spring
STAT 840: Linear Regression, Fall
STAT 871: Mathematical Statistics, Fall

The emphasis areas also require six credit hours of topic-focused coursework and nine credit hours of electives.

Statistics Emphasis (6 credit hours)

STAT 835: Categorical Data Analysis, Fall

Analytics Emphasis (6 credit hours)

Scholarships for Johnson County Residents

Students who currently live in Johnson County, Kan., and who are admitted to and enrolled in the online M.S. in Applied Statistics & Analytics degree are eligible for a $1,250 scholarship per semester if enrolled in six hours of coursework or a $625 scholarship per semester if enrolled in three hours of coursework. It is a renewable scholarship and students must maintain a minimum cumulative KU grade point average of 3.0 within the program to receive it for subsequent terms.
