Educational administration program faculty at KU

The faculty members and instructors within the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies are dedicated to providing robust learning opportunities related to educational administration.  The faculty are studying important problems in PK-12 schools, and working directly with districts on issues including: the law, issues of equity in urban schools, and school finance and leadership, among others.

You will learn from full-time professors who have real-world experiences leading buildings and districts to serve children, parents, communities, and society. All of the professors in the program hold doctorates in their teaching field and collectively have published hundreds of articles, books, book chapters, and papers. Prior to their time at KU, our faculty have served in professional roles within various school districts across the Midwestern region of the United States, and have served as state and national consultants to many school districts across the country.

Our program faculty and instructors have taught at and/or have been published with other research institutions including: Michigan State University, University of South Carolina, and other universities nationwide.  They have also secured millions of dollars in external funding from national organizations; designed and developed online resources serving hundreds of schools and students; and have conducted research related to e-learning and other types of educational administration policies.

Our educational administration program faculty also partner with professors from other academic departments to ensure that your graduate student experience and learning at KU are both interdisciplinary in nature and grounded in practical experience.
