Admissions Overview

To be considered for admission you need only have a bachelor’s degree in a related area. Acceptable undergraduate degrees (related areas) include any education degree, psychology, child development, speech & hearing sciences and social welfare among others. You do not have to have an undergraduate education degree or an initial teaching license (e.g., elementary, middle, or secondary). Experience working with young children is preferred.

To apply to the Early Childhood Unified (birth-K) program you will follow the same process as all individuals pursuing a special education Master’s degree and/or licensure. The application information is separated in domestic, international and non-degree processes. Please see the relevant tabs for more information.
