Admission Requirements

Incoming graduate students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students with lower GPAs may be admitted as probationary or provisional graduate students. Probationary students are automatically admitted as regular degree-seeking graduate students if they earn a 3.0 GPA after having completed the equivalent of one semester of full-time graduate study (nine hours in the fall/spring or six hours in the summer).

Application Process

KU accepts applications to the M.A. in Applied Behavioral Science on a rolling basis until July 1, with initial reviews beginning on Dec. 15. To find out if any positions are still available, please contact Tom Zane, director of online applied behavior analysis programs.

How to Apply

Step 1: Create an online account with ApplyWeb.com. This information will be used in part of your electronic application to KU's Graduate School.

Step 2: Once you have an online account, proceed to the application website to apply to the KU College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

Fill out the online application and attach the required documents. Required documents include the following:

  • Personal statement
  • Current Resume
  • 3 letters of Recommendation
  • GRE (optional, but recommended)
  • Unofficial transcripts (Official transcripts will need to be obtained if accepted into the program.)

GRE scores are optional and can be sent directly to the graduate school.  Official transcripts should be sent to the department.
